Description: 
At 1006 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 10 miles south of Clarksville, or 11 miles north of Oxford, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Henderson, Warrenton, Norlina, Littleton, Stovall, Middleburg, Macon, Afton, Steele Creek Marina & Campground, and Kerr Lake. This includes Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 213 and 230.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM EDT for central North Carolina.
