At 649 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Taylorsville, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Statesville, Taylorsville, Stony Point, Bethlehem, Lake Hickory, Hiddenite, Little River In Alexander County, Turnersburg, Millersville, and Ellendale.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for western and the Piedmont of North Carolina.
