Description:
At 806 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Linwood, or 8 miles east of Salisbury, moving northeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Winston-Salem, High Point, Asheboro, Lexington, Randleman,
Thomasville, Clemmons, Bermuda Run, Linwood, and Archdale.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 85 between Mile Markers 84 and 115.
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 182 and 185.
Interstate 73 between Mile Markers 73 and 88.
Interstate 74 between Mile Markers 65 and 79.
