At 429 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Butters, or 10 miles southeast of Lumberton, moving northeast at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Lumberton, Fairmont, Bladenboro, Boardman, Smiths, Howellsville, Abbottsburg, Butters, Hestertown, Barnesville, Evergreen, Barker Ten Mile, Proctorville, Tar Heel, Orrum, and Southeastern Regional Medical Center. This includes Interstate 95 in North Carolina between mile markers 10 and 21.
