Description:
At 1216 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Newland, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Newland, Crossnore, Grandfather Mountain State Park, B.R.
Parkway-Linville Falls To Grandfather, Sugar Mountain, Linville
Falls, Minneapolis, Altamont, Pineola, and Linville.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
