* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of northeast North Carolina, including the following counties, Camden, Currituck and Pasquotank. * WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1116 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected over the area through 1215 AM. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Weeksville, Old Trap, Point Harbor, Texas, Goose Creek, Glen Cove, Frog Island, Listers Corner, Jarvisburg, Powells Point, Bob White Fork, Mamie, Symonds Creek, Spot and Harbinger. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Do not stay in areas subject to flooding when water begins rising.
