* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Eastern Brunswick County in southeastern North Carolina... New Hanover County in southeastern North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1104 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers and thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen in some areas this morning. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wilmington, Leland, Oak Island, Carolina Beach, Wrightsville Beach, Kure Beach, Holden Beach, Caswell Beach, Bald Head Island, Snows Cut, South Masonboro Island, North Masonboro Island, Ocean Crest Pier, Johnny Mercer Pier, Figure Eight Island, Boiling Spring Lakes, St. James, Southport and Mill Creek. - weather.gov/safety/flood
