Description:
* WHAT...Nuisance flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...North Central Burke County in western North Carolina...
West Central Caldwell County in western North Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 615 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. High
flows and rises to near bankfull on smaller streams and creeks...
especially on Wilson Creek.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 310 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain
have fallen in just over an hour.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
