Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of northwest North Carolina, including the
following counties, Ashe and Wilkes.
* WHEN...Until midnight EDT tonight.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1102 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated that heavy rain has
exited the area. However, minor flooding may be occurring as
runoff from heavy rain earlier this evening collects in local
creeks and rivers, potentially pushing them out of their
banks in spots. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Osborn Creek, North Prong Lewis Fork, Call Creek, Darnell
Creek, Obids Creek, North Fork New River, Little Peak Creek,
Middle Fork Reddies River, Little Fork Creek, Naked Creek,
Little Fork, Beaver Creek, Clear Branch and Dog Creek.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
