Description: 
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeast Cabarrus County in the piedmont of North Carolina... * WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Nuisance flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas. High flows are expected along smaller creeks and tributaries. This includes Cold Water Creek and Hamby Branch. These streams may briefly overflow low water crossings. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 807 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen since 700 PM. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in nuisance flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mt Pleasant. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
