Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...Cabarrus County in the piedmont of North Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 800 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms has moved out of the area. Minor flooding will
continue as the previous rainfall moves through creeks and
streams. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Kannapolis, Downtown Concord, West Concord, Harrisburg, Mt
Pleasant, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Midland and Coddle Creek
Reservoir.
