* At 905 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Tully to near Troupsburg, moving east at 35
mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Binghamton, Ithaca, Elmira, Vestal, Cortland, Johnson City,
Endicott, Corning, Southport, and Barton.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing
