* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of east central New York, including the following counties, Columbia and Rensselaer. * WHEN...Until 1145 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 541 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Stephentown, New Lebanon, Berlin, Austerlitz, Canaan, Stephentown Center, North Stephentown, Garfield, Cherryplain, West Stephentown, Wyomanock, Center Berlin, Bucks Corner, Lebanon Springs, New Lebanon Center, West Lebanon, Petersburg, Stillham, East Grafton and Queechy. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
