Description:
At 825 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Rotterdam Junction, or near Scotia, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Albany, Schenectady, Clifton Park, Rotterdam, Cohoes, Watervliet,
Colonie, Scotia, Latham, Guilderland, Niskayuna, Duanesburg, Menands,
Green Island, Waterford, Delanson, Loudonville, Alplaus, East
Glenville, and Pattersonville-Rotterdam Junction.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 88 between exits 24 and 25.
Interstate 90 between exits 5A and 26.
Interstate 890 between exits 1a and 9.
Interstate 87 between exits 24 and 7, and between exits 8A and 9.
Interstate 787 between exits 6 and 9.
