Numerous showers and brief thunderstorms will continue to move over the area through the afternoon. These showers and storms may contain locally heavy rainfall up to an inch in a short amount of time. This rapid accumulation of rain may cause minor flooding of poor drainage areas in the more urbanized areas. Most of any flooding should be mainly an inconvenience, but if several showers and storms pass through the same locations...flood problems could become worse. Pay close attention if driving through these heavier storm cells, or if you live near flood prone areas.
