Description:
At 730 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of thunderstorms
over the Buffalo Metro area, moving northeast at 55 mph.
HAZARD...Brief, torrential downpours and ponding of water in poor
drainage areas.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Brief, heavy downpours will impact the morning commute
across the Buffalo Metro area with reduced visibility and
ponding of water in poor drainage areas.
Locations impacted include...
Buffalo, Cheektowaga, West Seneca, North Tonawanda, Clarence,
Lockport, Lackawanna, Kenmore, Depew, Tonawanda, Amherst, Lancaster,
Williamsville, Grand Island, Pendleton, Akron, Blasdell, and
Middleport.
This includes Interstate 90 between exits 49 and 55.
Instruction:
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
