Description:
At 313 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles south of
Capulin, or 12 miles southwest of Des Moines, moving northeast at 5
mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of East Central Colfax and West Central Union
Counties.
This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 383 and 384.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
