West Central Union County in northeastern New Mexico...
* Until 345 PM MDT.
* At 257 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles south of
Capulin, or 13 miles southwest of Des Moines, moving northeast at
10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of East Central Colfax and West Central Union
Counties.
This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 383 and 384.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large
hail.
