Description:
At 557 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Albuquerque,
moving west at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Surface observations. At 555 PM MDT, the Albuquerque Sunport
recorded a wind gust of 58 mph.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Albuquerque, Corrales, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, Paradise Hills,
North Valley, South Valley and Alameda.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 145 and 164. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 222 and 233.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm has produced damaging winds.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
