Description:
At 805 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near South Valley,
or 6 miles south of Albuquerque, moving south at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Albuquerque, Corrales, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, Bosque Farms,
South Valley, Isleta Pueblo, Paradise Hills, North Valley and
Sandia Heights.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 138 and 168. Interstate 25 between
Mile Markers 206 and 235.
Instruction:
Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
