* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of central and western New Mexico, including the Rio Grande Valley. * WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall rates in excess of 2 inches per hour through early this evening. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop. Do not drive your vehicle or walk into areas where water covers the roadway as the water depth may be too great to allow you to cross safely.
