Description:
* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.
* WHERE...The South Central Mountains, including the Ruidoso area
burn scars.
* WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded. Storm drains and ditches may become clogged with debris.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Showers and thunderstorms will be capable of producing rainfall
rates in excess of 2 inches per hour on Ruidoso area burn scars
this afternoon. This activity will move erratically north and
west across the area.

Instruction:
Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take
action should flooding develop. Do not drive your vehicle or walk
into areas where water covers the roadway as the water depth may be
too great to allow you to cross safely.
