Description: 
At 324 PM MDT, Although rainfall has currently ended, radar estimates up to 2 inches of rain fell with earlier storms. Excessive runoff will continue, and a high risk of flash flooding continues. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Pecos, Tererro, Cowles, Glorieta, South San Ysidro and San Jose. This includes the following highways... State Road 63 between Mile Markers 1 and 25. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 303 and 307...and near Mile Marker 311...and between Mile Markers 319 and 322.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and drainages. If outdoors, stay away from streams and rivers, seek higher ground. Never cross fast flowing water on foot.
