FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a * Flash Flood Warning for... Bernalillo County in central New Mexico... * Until 830 PM MDT. * At 535 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. * Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Albuquerque, Los Ranchos De Albuquerque, North Valley, Sandia Heights, South Valley and Alameda. This includes the following highways... Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 157 and 168. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 222 and 234.
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of normally dry arroyos and streambeds, low water crossings, intersections and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas.
