Description:
At 845 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles northeast of Rincon, moving north at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Hatch, Upham, Arrey, Rincon, White Sands National Park, Derry, Salem,
Garfield, Spaceport America, Portions of Jornada Experimental Range,
and Lake Lucero.
This includes Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 27 and
57.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
