Description:
At 145 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11
miles northeast of Elk, or 30 miles southeast of Ruidoso, moving
north at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Mainly rural areas of Southern Lincoln and West Central Chaves
Counties.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
