Description:
At 249 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Nenahnezad, or 14 miles east of Shiprock, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Kirtland, Fruitland and Nenahnezad.
This includes Highway 64 between Mile Markers 34 and 40.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
Blowing dust associated with strong thunderstorm winds can reduce
visibility below one quarter mile at times.
