Description:
* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico...
* WHEN...Until 430 PM MDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 131 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding.
Up to 1.25 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the
area. This additional rain could result in flash flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mainly rural areas of Northeastern Sandoval County.
- Hazardous water levels are forecast in San Luis Creek and Sulfur
Creek.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Do not camp along streams and rivers. Remain alert when hiking in
steep, narrow canyons. Know where you are relative to low spots and
drainages.
