Description: 
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Southeastern Sandoval County in north central New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 945 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 638 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.25 and 0.75 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rio Rancho, Bernalillo, Corrales, Vista Hills, Enchanted Hills, Rio Rancho City Center, Sandia Pueblo and Coronado State Monument. - This includes the following highways... Highway 550 between Mile Markers 1 and 7. Interstate 25 between Mile Markers 238 and 240...and near Mile Marker 242. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Instruction: 
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Arroyos, streams, and normally dry rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes. Water in arroyos can travel many miles and take hours to reach your location from upstream rain areas.
