* WHAT...Arroyo and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...East Central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico... * WHEN...Until 645 PM MDT. * IMPACTS...Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water crossings may become impassable. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 337 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving thunderstorms south of Elkins in far eastern Chaves County. This will cause arroyo and small stream flooding. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.75 inches are expected over the area. Instruction: 
Both localized and distant heavy rainfall will create sudden and dangerous flows in arroyos and over low water crossings. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
