Description:
At 818 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Ewing to 10 miles south of Chambers.
Movement was southeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Ewing, Knievels Corner, Buffalo Flats, Goose Lake State Wildlife
Management Area, Cumminsville, and Four Corners.
This includes Highway 281 between mile markers 143 and 159.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
