Southwestern Yellowstone County in south central Montana...
* Until 800 PM MDT.
* At 719 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 8 miles north of
Columbus, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and small hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Expect strong winds
and heavy rain to impact travel along Interstate 90 from
Columbus to Laurel.
* Locations impacted include...
Laurel, Joliet, Park City, Silesia, Rockvale, Molt, Edgar and
Acton.
This does not include the City of Billings.
Instruction:
Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure
and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing
widespread damaging winds.
Wind damage with this storm may occur before any rain or lightning.
