Description: 
At 1019 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking several thunderstorms across southwest Montana, including cells east of Dillon, west of Cameron and south of Big Sky. A strong thunderstorm was located 8 miles southwest of Monida Pass. These storms were tracking northeast at 15 mph. In addition to lightning, wind gusts to 50 mph and brief heavy downpours may occur with these storms. Hail up to one half inch in diameter is possible with the cell approaching Monida Pass. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half-inch size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Monida, Big Sky, Red Rock Pass, Lakeview, Cameron, Snowline, and Monida Pass.
Instruction: 
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with some storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
