Description:
* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, highs today up to 96. For the Lake
Wind Advisory, north winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* WHERE...McCone County.
* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until 2 AM MDT Tuesday. For the Lake
Wind Advisory, until 6 AM MDT early this morning.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create
hazardous conditions for small craft. Hot temperatures may cause
heat illnesses.
Instruction:
Boaters on Fort Peck Lake should use extra caution since strong winds
and rough waves can overturn small craft.
Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car
interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
