Description:
At 550 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Battlefield,
moving east at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Law enforcement.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Springfield, Nixa, Ozark, Republic, Battlefield, Rogersville, Clever,
Sparta, Billings, Highlandville, Fremont Hills, Brookline, Turners,
Selmore, Christian Center, Linden, Boaz, and Galloway.
This includes Interstate 44 between mile markers 63 and 72.
Instruction:
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
