...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Missouri...
Missouri River at Jefferson City.
Missouri River near Chamois.
Missouri River at Hermann.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 48 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Missouri River near Chamois.
* WHEN...From Monday morning to late Wednesday night.
* IMPACTS...At 17.0 feet, Flood Stage: Lower lying bottom land
begins to flood.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 8.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Monday
morning to a crest of 18.2 feet early Tuesday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage Tuesday afternoon.
- Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
