increased in duration for the following rivers in Mississippi...
Jourdan River Near Kiln/Bay St. Louis affecting Hancock County.
For the Jourdan River...including Kiln/Bay St. Louis...Major flooding
is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Jourdan River near Kiln/Bay St. Louis.
* WHEN...Until Saturday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Homes along the river on the south bank
will flood. Water will be over the road near the bridge approach.
Backwater flooding will threaten property east of Highway 43.
Access to the river will be restricted.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 12:45 AM CDT Friday the stage was 9.4 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 12:45 AM CDT Friday was 9.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.5 feet
this morning. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.7
feet on 08/29/2012.

Instruction:
