Chickasawhay River At Enterprise affecting Clarke County.
Tallahala Creek At Laurel affecting Jones County.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Tallahala Creek at Laurel.
* WHEN...From Friday morning until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Water begins to cover Old Sandersville
Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late
tomorrow morning to 15.8 feet early Saturday morning. It will
then fall early Sunday afternoon. It will rise to 15.0 feet
early Tuesday morning. It will then fall again but remain
above flood stage.
- Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads.
Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges,
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream,
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route
over higher ground.
