Description:
At 639 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible
over Stone County with an additional 2 to 4 inches over George
County. Flash flooding is ongoing across the warned area.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Wiggins, Lucedale, Leakesville, Perkinston, McHenry, Beaumont, New
Augusta, McLain, Progress, Leaf, Avent, Deep Creek, Oak Grove,
Little Creek, Barbara, Merrill, Benndale, Janice, Neely and Bexley.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Move to higher ground now. Act quickly to protect your life.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
