Description:
At 249 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Pelahatchie, or 9 miles southwest of Morton, moving south at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central
Rankin, northwestern Smith and southwestern Scott Counties.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
