Description:
* WHAT...Heat index values up to 92 degrees and Wet Bulb Globe
Temperatures up to 84 degrees expected.
* WHERE...In Minnesota, Crow Wing, Aitkin, Pine, Koochiching, Cass,
Itasca, Carlton, St. Louis, Northern Cook and Northern Lake
Counties. In Wisconsin, Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas,
Sawyer, and Washburn Counties. This includes the Tribal Lands of
the Lac Courte Oreilles Reservation, the Fond du Lac Band, the Red
Cliff Band, the St. Croix Band in Burnett County, the Bad River
Reservation, the Mille Lacs Band, East Lake, Big Sandy Lake,
Hinckley and, Lena Lake areas and the Bois Forte Band, Deer Creek,
Nett Lake and, Lake Vermilion areas. Other locations including
Voyageurs National Park, the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore
and Madeline Island. The entire Boundary Waters is also included.
* WHEN...Until 7 PM CDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat
illnesses.
Instruction:
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of
the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
