Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of western Massachusetts, including the following
county, Berkshire and east central New York, including the
following counties, Columbia and Rensselaer.
* WHEN...Until 545 PM EDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.
Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be
passable. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1142 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pittsfield, North Adams, Great Barrington, Hoosick Falls,
Adams, Williamstown, Lee, Lenox, Sheffield, Cheshire,
Stephentown, New Lebanon, Grafton, Berlin, Becket,
Austerlitz, Otis, Sandisfield, Florida and Hancock.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
