...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Louisiana...
Bogue Falaya River At Boston St in Covington affecting St. Tammany
Parish.
Bogue Falaya River At Camp Covington affecting St. Tammany Parish.
For the Bogue Falaya...including Camp Covington, Boston St in
Covington...Moderate flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Bogue Falaya River at Boston St in Covington.
* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, River Bend Road will be under water
threatening adjacent homes. Bogue Falaya River Park and Christ
Episcopal School grounds will remain flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:30 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 11.2 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 4.0 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 7:30 PM CDT Thursday was 11.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.5 feet
early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage
early Sunday morning.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.4
feet on 04/03/1988.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.

enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
