Description:
Heavy rain has ended but there is still many areas with minor
flooding occurring as it will take some time for the water to finally
drain.
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Northwestern Pointe Coupee Parish in southeastern
Louisiana...
Northwestern West Feliciana Parish in southeastern Louisiana...
* WHEN...Until 545 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water. It
will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work
through local drainage systems in urban areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 347 PM CDT, the public reported heavy rain in water
approaching homes near Simmesport. due to thunderstorms. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 6 and 13 inches
of rain have fallen.
- Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
expected.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lettsworth.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
