Bogue Chitto River At Franklinton affecting Washington Parish.

Bogue Chitto River Near Bush affecting St. Tammany Parish.
.The river forecast includes 48 hours of forecasted rainfall. These
river forecasts could change based on how Tropical Storm Arthur or
its remnants tracks across Louisiana and Mississippi late tonight and
Thursday. Interests along the rivers should monitor the forecast
closely and be prepared for significant flooding.
For the Bogue Chitto River...including Franklinton, Bush...Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Bogue Chitto River near Bush.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, Homes in low-lying areas on the downstream
side of Louisiana Highway 21 near the bridge will flood. The access
road upstream of the bridge will remain inundated.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 10.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 9.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue rising to a crest of 14.0 feet
Friday evening.
- Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.0
feet on 12/10/1971.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
