Description:
At 436 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Grosse Tete, or 11 miles west of Port Allen, moving southwest at 15
mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Baton Rouge, Plaquemine, Port Allen, Addis, Brusly, Livonia,
Maringouin, Fordoche, Rosedale, Grosse Tete, Erwinville, Ramah,
Gardere and Bayou Sorrel.
Instruction:
Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.
