Description:
At 545 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Mathews, or 11 miles northeast of Houma, moving west at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Houma, Thibodaux, Larose, Lockport, Mathews, Schriever, Gray,
Raceland, Bayou Cane, Montegut, Chauvin, Dulac, and Des Allemands.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
