Description:
At 643 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Branch to near Oberlin. Movement was west
at 5 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.
Locations impacted include...
Eunice, Church Point, Kinder, Basile, Oberlin, Iota, Elton, Mowata,
Branch, Richard, Leblanc, and Maxie.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for
central and southwestern Louisiana.
