Description:
At 309 PM CDT, The current forecast is indicating the development of
a strong thunderstorm near Poydras, or 9 miles southeast of
Chalmette. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Forecast indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Belle Chasse, Poydras, and Violet.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
