Description:
At 447 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Ashers Fork, or 13 miles southeast of Manchester, moving southeast at
35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Harlan, Loyall, Wallins Creek, Sandy Fork, Mary Alice, Brightshade,
Varilla, Coldiron, Beverly, Black Snake, Saylor, Erose, Elcomb, White
Star, Rella, Ice Cliff, Blackmont, Warbranch, Baxter, and Miracle.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
southeastern Kentucky.
